the landscapes of my day

today i interpreted wood and wood grain as a landscape. i think that rough cut natural woodgrain is one of the most beautiful things my eyes see. today i investigated some patterns i found in some chunks of wood. i translate woodgrain as being a natural pattern that can often be found in technology and textiles. it uses lines to tell a story and patters to give information about its life. i see the interactions between grains as a landscape in itself, but i also included a wooden cityscape that i saw today. the woodgrain city.
